First thing I have to get out of the way is that what I’m about to share with you is what worked for me to cure bad circulation.  It may not work for everyone.  Also, before I say anything you should always consult your doctor for advice with regards to this topic.

A little about me.  I’m actually a real person writing this, and it’s about a real problem.  I’ll never tell you my real name though, because I love my privacy.  So there’s that.  I’m healthy.  I don’t smoke, I don’t drink alcohol, I exercise, I eat pretty well, I try to stay away from processed foods, and I drink more water than the normal human being (although not quite enough as I should).  Matter of fact, I haven’t been sick in over half a decade.  I am actually VERY healthy, to the point that I get preferred rates on my life-insurance.   But I have a problem.  My blood just won’t get to where I want it all the time.

This causes problems, especially when I sleep.  I was always getting woken up with an achy side.  True story.  One night I woke up because I felt something underneath me.  I felt it with my hand, and it felt like an arm underneath me.  Upon further investigation, I realized it was my OWN arm!  It had fallen asleep, and basically become numb due to lack of blood circulation.  This thing was basically dead, and it took a while for the blood to start bringing it back to life again.

I noticed though, that when I sleep with my left side up, I have fewer problems.  Why’s that?  Because it’s closest to my heart, as opposed to my right side.  So gravity works in my favor in terms of circulation with my left side facing up.  That’s not the cure I promised in the title, that’s coming in a moment.  It DOES help though, and it made me realize that this is a circulatory problem.  It’s especially bad if I’ve gone a long time without exercise.  And it is especially NOT bad after I’ve been swimming, or doing other things that get my heart muscles strong.

Another problem is that I get cold hands and feet, especially in extremities, like toes, and fingers.  You’d think that’s not such a bad problem to have but it can actually be painful.  All I have to do is step funny, and it actually feels painful.  When I’m not cold, I don’t have that problem at all.  My hands and fingers don’t actually work correctly.  I can’t grip tools well, or type very well.  I’m always washing with warm water, and keeping my hands under the water for a while just to warm them back up.

In fact I found out that there are a number of things that HELP, but don’t really entirely fix the problem.  First, is Niacin.  Niacin (which according to Wikkipedia is chemically very close to Nicotine) which is found naturally in milk, and other places helps with your heart rate.  It keeps my heart rate up to some degree.  I have a low heart rate anyway, so this does help me.

Eating right does help.  Eat balanced meals.  Make sure you’re getting all of your vitamins AND minerals.  Potassium is important.  Most people get leg cramps easily as a result of bad circulation, and that is only exacerbated by low potassium, which helps with nerve function.  Potassium also is very easily depleted, especially with salt (which we eat lots of in our diet).  So make sure to eat lots of bananas, or take potassium supplements.  They do help improve some of the offshoot symptoms.

Finally the top tip I can give you, the tip to end all bad blood circulation tips is to use cayenne pepper in your food, and to take supplements.  Cayenne peppers are known for their spice.  You sprinkle some of that on your food, then you eat it, and experience the spiciness.  Well, that can help your whole body actually.  Next time you’re out for some really spicy Mexican food, note the warmth that spreads throughout your body after the meal.  Cayenne can do that for you in the same way.  Matter of fact, this little herb is probably the king of all of them and the reason is that it helps all of them work so well.  Think about it.  What does your body need to keep going.  Nutrients, resources, oxygen, all carried by the blood.  If it’s flowing properly, well then you’re set.   Okay, that’s it for now, leave a comment too if you’d like.
